Route

Day 1: DAKAR - GOREE - PINK LAKE

Stop at: Gorée hotels, Gorée Island, Dakar, Senegal
After a deep rest and a breakfast at your hotel, you will visit the island of Goree, located near Dakar: it is the infamous starting point for millions of Africans who are heading for slavery in Americas. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Gorée has been beautifully preserved. You will visit the Slave House, the Women's Museum and the Historical Museum, the castles and the market while strolling the streets of this unique place. Lunch in a typical restaurant of the island. We return to discover the capital of Senegal: visit the city to visit the presidential palace, the Independence Palace, the monument of the African Renaissance., Soumbedioune market ... and transfer to Lake Rose. Overnight at Chez Salim or similar.

Day 2: LAKE ROSE KAYAR LOMPOUL

Stop at: Lac Rose Senegal, Niaga, Senegal
After breakfast, visit the Lac Rose which takes its name from the color of its water due to its high salt content. It stretches for 3 miles along the sand dunes. Once you arrive, have lunch (at your leisure) before going around this beautiful 4x4 lake, seeing how local women harvest the salt as they go to the shallow waters. After lunch, transfer to Lompoul via Kayar. 4x4 transfer from the village of Loumpoul to the Loumpoul desert. A welcome aperitif at sunset and camel ride or walk. Dinner and overnight in Mauritanian tents at Loumpoul Ecolodge or Desert Camp

Day 3: SAINT LOUIS TOWN TOWER - LANGUAGE OF BARBARIA

Pass in front: Saint-Louis Airport, Saint-Louis, Senegal
After breakfast, leave Lompoul Ecolodge for an excursion that will take you by motorboat to the barbarian language park located just 18 km south of Saint-Louis, in the Gandiol region. It is a rich and varied ecosystem that combines several environments (mangroves, sand dunes, the Senegal River, the Barbary language, tidal wetlands, the beach and the ocean). Here, many species grow, crabs, lizards, and more than 160 species of birds can be found throughout the park. It is also a migratory bird sanctuary and turtle nesting site. Day 4: NATIONAL SANCTUARY OF BIRDS OF DJOUDJ

Stop at: Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary, North of St. Louis, St. Louis Senegal
The Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary is a wetland in the Senegal River Delta, which is used as wintering grounds for a large number of waterfowl and other migratory birds in the Palearctic region. Historically, the site was subjected to alternating cycles of seasonal flooding with fresh water from the Senegal River, followed by an influx of salt water. After the visit, return to Saint Louis. Day 5: TOUBA - TOUBACOUTA

Pass in front: Saloum Delta National Park, Ndangane Senegal
After breakfast, drive to Toubacouta via Touba, capital of Mouridism and its highest mosque in West Africa. Lunch along the way. Arriving at Toubacouta, a small village of fishermen and farmers, we will take the canoe for an excursion on the Saloum island, the confluence of Sine Saloum, where the arms of the sea seep to the point where the earth and the water gather to form. many many shell islands to admire hundreds of birds. You can see monkeys, gazelles, croccodiles, herons, storks. This region is unique in its natural and wild beauty and has recently been listed by UNESCO on the World Natural Heritage List of Protected Biosphere Reserves. Day 6: JOAL FADIOUTH - SALY

Stop at: Citta, Joal Fadiouth Senegal
Sine-Saloum is one of the most beautiful regions of Senegal. It is a marshy area with mangroves, lagoons, open forests, dunes and sand islands. Part of the area is included in the Saloum Delta National Park. The region is home to several species of monkeys, including the rare red colobus, and the diversity of its habitats makes it particularly suitable for bird watching. A canoe trip on one of the branches of the river to see the pelicans, flamingos, martin fisherman and other birds or to visit some of the island's fishing villages is worth doing. This region is very rich in eco diversity.
