Hi there, My name is Hoang Nguyen and I am a chef. Growing up, I had a strong connection with food. After moving to Australia by myself when I was 19, I started experimenting more with my cooking. I became obsessed with trying new dishes, and what started out as my hobby is now my career. I have worked in some of the best restaurants in Australia, including Orana which was named 2018 Restaurant of the Year by Gourmet Traveller and 3 hats on the Good Food Guide - the highest rating. This experience is a food tasting with a tasting menu that changes daily to reflect seasonality. All produces are locally sourced and grown organically in Dalat area and seafood is caught fresh from Vung Tau, just days before our experience begins. Come and share my passion, and allow me to tell a story that reflects Vietnamese cuisine in a different perspective. P.s. I love desserts.

Itinerary Details

You will be seated in the most beautiful dining area that will make you feel at home and special. I will be there in my apron greeting you and go through the menu. Beverages are also served upon arrival.

The menu is a 7-8 course tasting menu that caters to all dietary requirements. Some of the courses will be small-sized for you to begin with while others are more substantial. Each item on the menu has been developed carefully so that it highlights the ingredients and the story behind it. Throughout the meal, I will be cooking and plating all courses in front of you and explain the ideas behind each one.

There isn't much to say as it is supposed to be a surprise for guests. However, the current menu is vegetable-focused as I think this is the purest way of appreciating seasonality and promoting sustainability in cooking.
